1 Objectives: - To know key Irish events before 1801. To understand the impact they had on the power of native Irish people. To be able to judge the impact of these events on Irish history. Outcomes: - C grades – will be able to explain the political position of the Irish over the years before 1801. B grades – will be able to analyse the political position of the Irish over the years before 1801, examining change and continuity. A grades – will be able to reach judgements about how far the political position of the Irish changed before 1801, explaining the reasons for this change. Differentiated learning : - Main activity is differentiated through outcome. Reading materials from previous lessons are differentiated. Literacy: - All VCOP triangles used in the plenary. SMSC: - Moral – students assess the morality behind the relationship between Britain and Ireland.
