4 Terror & Danger Grip France
National Convention split between the Jacobins and a rival group the Girondins Creates Committee of Public Safety to deal with the threats to France Issued Levee en masse > required all citizens to contribute to the war effort Revolutionary army starts to win battles Maximilien Robespierre > head of Committee of Public Safety Dedicated to the revolution Terror & Danger Grip France

Anyone suspect of resisting the revolution was put on trial 17,000 executed > many falsely accused Thousands also imprisoned Death by way of the guillotine Symbol of horror Robespierre later is executed by the very thing he constructed Reign of Terror
