Put your header (the date and #7) at the top of the page and wait for instructions.

5. Storytelling: Composing Our Lives Through “The House that Built Me”
PART 2
Task 2: Storytelling (10 minutes)
Find a partner and share your drawing from last Wednesday, as well as your memories associated with the drawing.
Task 3: Writing Your Story (20 minutes)
Choose ONE memory to write about. Start with dialogue, thoughts, or actions. Drop into the story at the “good part” and SHOW don’t TELL your story. Write for twenty minutes. Provide details that support your story.

Thursday 1/21/16
Look back at your story from Tuesday’s warm-up. Now write the story from the point of view of one of the characters in the painting (first-person POV).

Rewrite the story from yesterday and Tuesday a third time from the point of view of someone who is not visible in the painting but is there in the room.
