3 Logging into Faculty Attendance Tracker (ATTR)
Open the public web site – – in the browser of your choice. Click Faculty & Staff Under Resources, click the Attendance Tracker link

4 Logging into Faculty Attendance Tracker (ATTR)
You will be presented with the STLCC Central Authentication Service (CAS) page. Enter your network login and password and click the LOGIN button.

5 “My Courses” Page After logging into Attendance Tracker, “My Courses” page will appear with your assigned class meeting records for current semester Select one of the meeting records for a class by clicking on it

6 “My Courses” Page Course Details Notice the information listed
A detailed summary is provided of your class meetings

7 “My Courses” Page “View Students” will appear if the class has not yet started (meeting start date is in the future), “View Students” shows you the Attendance Roster Page, but you cannot enter attendance. Click on “Take Roll”

8 Attendance Roster Page
Select a date by using the calendar or click on the date. -Use the arrows next to the dates to go forward or backwards

Use “Update Empty Records to Present” after first marking absent students for that date “Mark All Absent” will mark all students as absent for that date, even those you first marked as present Use “Update Empty Records to Absent” after first marking present students for that date “Mark All Present” will mark all students as present for that date, even those you first marked as absent

Select a student by clicking on the row of the student View the student details and attendance to the right of the calendar

Click on the checkbox for Absence Notified, a note text area appears Type in a note and click anywhere off of the note Extended absence can be recorded here The absent icon with a note displays

Using the Class drop down (next to Update All…), cancel this class meeting A notification is displayed to cancel the meeting, click “Yes” All students are marked absent with a note that the class has been canceled

13 Submitting Attendance
After marking attendance for your students, save the attendance use the Class drop down and “Update CRN Last Date of Attendance.” This may take a few moments. Be sure to save your attendance using Update CRN Last Date of Attendance every time you mark attendance. You may get a message that “no records” were updated. This means that all students in this class have already had their maximum Last Date of Attendance recorded.

To reinstate the class meeting (“uncancel”), use the Class drop down A notification is displayed to reinstate the meeting, click “Yes” Update your attendance

15 Attendance Roster Page
If a student comes to you to ask “what dates have I been marked absent in this class?” you can answer this question quickly in ATTR 9.2 On the Attendance Roster page, select the student in question by clicking on their ID number In the Student Details panel on the right, click the “Attendance” link to the right of the “Student Details” label. A summary of the student’s attendance appears, followed by the dates of each absence for this student. Notice: dates when the class has been cancelled are considered “absences,” but not counted in the number of times the student has been absent.

16 Returning to list of classes
To return to the Course List, click the Course List link at the top of the page.

17 Signing out In Attendance Tracker 9.2, click the “head” beside your name in the top right corner of the page.

18 New Hyperion Reports In Hyperion there are two ATTR reports to assist you in viewing or downloading attendance records. To access these reports, log into the Hyperion Portal. Click on “Explore,” select “SLCC Departments” folder, and choose “Attendance Tracking.” Note: if you can log into the Portal but do not have access this folder or these reports, contact the IT Help Desk or ext. 5113) to ask for access to the ATTR reports.

19 Hyperion Reports ST-AT-0009RR Attendance Records by Term and CRN Report Written to fulfill a faculty request, this report copies all entered attendance records for a given class (CRN) into an Excel file. Step 1: Enter the “Term Code” Step 2: Enter one or more CRN’s It is recommended that you run only one CRN report at a time. Step 3: Click “Process.” When processing is complete, you will get a confirmation box. Click “OK.” Step 4: Click “View Data”

ST-AT-0009RR Attendance Records by Term and CRN Report Present?: Y = present; N = absent Entered notes will appear in the Comment column Attendance Entered: date/time when the attendance record was entered. Note this date may be different than the Meeting Date. The data will appear in Excel format on screen. To save as an Excel file, from the menu bar select: File, then Export, and finally Excel (*.xls). Choose “Save as” to rename the file and place it in the directory of your choice.

ST-AT-0008-RR Student Attendance Report Used by advisors, counselors, deans and other college administrators. This report shows all attendance records entered in all classes for a given student in a term (i.e ). Step 1: Select a “Term Code” Step 2: Enter a “Student ID” number Step 3: Click the “Run” button

ST-AT-0008-RR Student Attendance Report The results will show the student’s attendance records, grouped by course and sorted in meeting date order. You can either print this report or save it as a PDF.
