Begins with the first credits earned Changes according to the grade/credit earned POINTS earned A’s- 4 points B’s- 3 points C’s- 2 points D’s- 1 point F’s- No point/ No credit Note: PreAP credits are weighted by .5, AP/DE are weighted by 1.0

* Dual Enrollment College courses taught by college professors. Course grade determines course credit. Options: Jeff State (at SHS) UA Early College (online) * AP Courses Rigorous courses taught by trained HS teachers. AP Test score determines course credit as decided by each college. Qualifying scores begin at a 3.

10 HELP! Which do I choose? Know your child/yourself: Will your child/you be successful in the advanced levels of science and math? (PreAP vs Non-PreAP classes) ASPIRE Results: Check the College Readiness box. Suggest that student be “at or above” in math and science. Both will allow a student to attend college. The advanced endorsement is the most college preparatory. Advanced Classes vs Solid GPA: This must factor into the equation. If a student is not prepared, the GPA will drop.
