1 How to Finish Successfully!
End of Class Reminders How to Finish Successfully!

2 Did you submit your work?
Check the gradebook. If it is blank or has a “0”, your work was not submitted or graded. Even if you thought you did, if there is no grade, it wasn’t submitted. Work that isn’t there cannot be graded. !

3 Check your grade No need to ask me how you’re doing in the class.
I will look on the same gradebook that you have access to; check it yourself. Grades are posted in the gradebook and are up to date.

4 Check the Syllabus for percentages
This will remind you of the relative importance of assignments. For example, if you don’t turn in the last essay and still expect a high grade for the course, take a look at how much that last essay is worth to the overall grade.

5 Assignments! To get full credit of 5 points for assignments, they should be submitted the week they are due. 2nd week = 3 points 3rd week = 1 point and then the assignment expires. If you turn ALL the assignments in late, the points won’t be enough to pass the class. On the other hand, even if you turn in all the assignments on time, but fail to turn in essays or presentations, you won’t pass the class. Don’t set yourself up for failure: turn in your work!

6 Check your work Look online to determine what work you need to submit.
Late essays are not accepted, sorry. Revisions are accepted up to the last day. All work must be submitted online or through prior arrangement with me. ed work cannot be accepted.

7 Due Date ALL work is due by the end of the last class period.
There have been many weeks in which to complete the work, so…Do NOT ask for extra time/extra work/extra anything. Work WILL NOT be accepted after the last class. Final essays Do NOT receive feedback.

8 When the class is over, it is OVER.
Grades will be posted to the Gradebook shortly after the last class Grades ARE NOT subject to debate or to any degree of whining or complaining. YOU are responsible for earning your grade, which is mathematically calculated. s received after the last class will not be responded to.

9 Finally, advice…
