2. Hebrews
Hebrews were a nomadic people who migrated out of Mesopotamia around 2000 B.C. and settled in Palestine.
By 1700 B.C. many Hebrews migrated into Egypt, but were enslaved by Egyptians.
After 1300 B.C., Moses led the Hebrews on an “Exodus” out of Egypt.

4. Judaism
Hebrews (later known as Jews) were the first peoples to establish a monotheistic tradition.
“There is one (1) creator who made the world and all life.”
Did not worship Roman Emperors
Separation of Church and State
Led to the establishment of Christianity and Islam
Jews believed they had a special relationship with God.
Formed a covenant (agreement) with God
Followed the Ten (10) Commandments
Written Laws
Old Testament of the Bible

6. Jews as Outcasts
