Then to regional and zonal level Why? Linking to LGA and Dairy Hub (same level) Leadership structure DC – patronage Hub (secretariat) and AC member Membership – open (to represent all) Meeting frequency- semi annually

10 Farmer = common denominator DFF = Common Platform
Private Sector (processors) Public Sector Policy to foster Investment Farmer Sustainability Investment Market Services Access to services Producer’s Federation/ POs/Hub sustainability Access to market Critical mass

11 DDF……. Progress Testimonies….Hallelujah!
Stakeholders’ awareness creation and capacity building 11 dairy hubs (secretariat for DDF established) and facilitated election of 13 AC members (secretaries) Four (11) District DDFs established in SH Rungwe D – DDF - Mwalusamba Mbozi D - DDF Mufindi D - DDF

12 Southern Highlands DDF
National DDF Plan 12 DDFs to hold at least 2 meetings between June and May 2017 3 regional DDFs to be established by Dec 2016 Zonal DDF to be established by May (if need be) Cascade DDF down to group level (PMC through SCD structure) structure) Southern Highlands DDF R D D F D I S T R I C T D D F

13 Conclusion DDFs plays vital roles
However, DDF should be efficient, effective and fully functioning Efficient = modest cost/ least cost = spirit Effective = respond to genuine current needs Fully functioning = appropriate structure, relaying info (horizontally and vertically) DDF is the mouth-piece of the stakeholders which should spat wisdom to inform decision(s)
