6 Mixture Mixture: two or more different substances that are mixed but not combined chemically The chemical identities of the substances are not changed.

7 Solution Solution: a uniform mixture of two or more substances
*Uniform meaning the solution has only one color, one texture, and appears to be one substance.

8 Colloid Mixture where the particles are uniformly distributed but not chemically bonded. Normally opaque (not see thru) Substance that consists of particles dispersed in another substance that are too small to see. Milk, fog, mud

9 Suspension Mixture where the particles of the individual substances are big enough to see.

10 Concentration Concentration: the amount of a particular substance in a given quantity of mixture How concentrated do you like your hot chocolate?
