- IMT-Advanced
Endorsed the submission on LTE-Advanced of 3GPP as a candidate of IMT-Advanced to ITU-R WP5D#5 (‘09.6)
Considering the collaboration with IEEE for the submission of M-WiMAX evolution as a candidate for IMT-Advanced
Registered as independent evaluation group (‘08.12), and provided technical contributions to WP5D (‘09.2, ‘09.6)
e.g., C-code implementation of channel model, and clarification of channel model

4. Highlights of Current Status
- IPTV
Developing Phase 2 for providing interoperability among devices and services adapting Phase 1 standards (by June 2010)
Middleware(Web based), SI, Downloadable CAS(DCAS), QoS/QoE, Mobile IPTV

This is visual description of WiBro service positioning.
Cellular service has demerits of low data rate and high cost.
Wireless LAN has problems of mobility and narrow service coverage either.
However, WiBro provides services with high speed data rate and with low cost in any mobility environment.
In this sense, WiBro is the most suitable solution currently.
And I hope WiBro will become a bridging technology on 4G 5
