7 Building from our Foundation
Live Oak Police Philosophy A belief that law abiding people in a community deserve input in the policing process. Community Members and Police Working Together… …to solve problems important to the community …to reduce the fear of crime …to reduce physical and social disorder …to solve neighborhood decay …To know and trust each other and have fun doing it … Fix Broken Windows ..They matter to OUR Community! We encourage free and open communication with citizens to identify and resolved community issues. The police and community must know each other to trust each other. Our citizen training programs and volunteer program(s) have been very successful on giving an added value to our community services. Again, a cost savings for programs like Blue Santa/Cookies with Cops, Junior Police Academy, Citizen’s Police Academy, Coffee with Cops, etc… Council Workshop October 4, 2004
