3 Meet the staff attending!
Mrs. Newman Mrs. Alderson Mr. Lister Mrs. Forshaw Mrs. Lomas Mrs.Jackson (1 day)

4 What will the children be doing?
The programme is designed to compliment the curriculum which will be taught before and after the trip. These geography units of work look at Rivers, Mountains and a contrasting locality. The programme also meets the requirements for PE in that there are outdoor adventurous activities. The itinerary is weather dependent and is determined by Lledr Hall.

5 Mobile Phones Mobile phone signal is poor near the centre and mobile phones are not allowed on the trip You can be assured that if there is a problem we will contact you. Keeping in contact: Whilst at Lledr we will endeavour to regularly keep in contact via the school Facebook page. We plan to make a daily diary of the activities we have taken part in. We will respect the wishes of families that have chosen for their child not to have their photograph taken.

6 On the morning of the residential…
Children should arrive at school reception with their belongings for 8.45 am ready for registration. Children will go to the classroom for final instructions. Parents are welcome to wait in the hall. We will leave school at 9.30am, earlier if possible. If your child requires medication or has a medical condition you need to make us aware of this. All medicines should be labelled with the child’s name and dosage. All medicines should be given to Mrs Newman on the morning of departure. Children who are travelsick and need tablets should be given them prior to departure and a dosage given to Mrs Newman for the return journey. The road to Lledr Hall is very bendy!

7 What to pack… Lledr Hall provide each child with a waterproof coat, boots, waterproof trousers and a small backpack. If your child has walking boots they may bring these but PLEASE do not buy any equipment especially for the trip. Clothes should be warm and comfortable and suitable for scrambling, climbing through tunnels and getting muddy. ESSENTIALS Packed Lunch (pack separately to main luggage) NEEDED FOR THE MONDAY – please put the food items in disposable packaging as any leftovers will be disposed of before reaching the centre. Drinks should be in a disposable bottle/carton. No other snacks should be taken for the week as this increases the likelihood that children may consider a ‘midnight feast’ and would share foods without allergy awareness. The hall is very particular about children not wearing their shoes indoors so slippers are essential. Bedding is not provided so each child needs a sleeping bag and a pillowcase as well as towels. All belongings need to be in one large holdall or suitcase. Please try to fit the sleeping bag into the case – if not put it in a securely tied bin bag with a sticky label indicating the owner.
