It is a good idea to select which customer the machine belong.
It is possible to add a new customer by clicking the ‘New customer’ button.

1 Product PNC and Serial no Product and serial number (product id). These fields are normally filled in at the factory. However, product details must be filled in for spare parts control units. To provide the details, enter them in the fields on the right and click "Set" 1

Product PNC and Serial no Product and serial number (product id). These fields are normally filled in at the factory. However, product details must be filled in for spare parts control units. Control Unit Revision no The A-Z revision number of the Control unit. Firmware Version The software version in the Control unit.

1 2 1 2 Control unit temperature history Max, min and average temperatures. Accumulated active operating time (information displayed depend on product ) Number of activations Total number of times that the product has been switched on. Standby Total operating time not cutting, hours:minutes. Total cutting time Total operating time cutting, hours:minutes. Time cutting in Eco mode Total operating time in Eco mode (savE mode), hours:minutes. Time cutting in reversed direction (not available for chainsaw) Total operating time cutting in reversed direction, hours:minutes.

1 1 History of use - Chainsaw Measured time (minutes:seconds) at following modes: • Full trigger and speed > 9,000 rpm (no load) • Full trigger and speed 7, ,000 rpm (under load) • Full trigger and speed < 7,500 rpm (under load) • Part trigger • Released trigger History of use - Trimmer Measured time (minutes:seconds) at following modes: • Full trigger and speed > 5,000 rpm (no load) • Full trigger and speed 3, ,000 rpm (under load) • Full trigger and speed < 3,000 rpm (under load) • Part trigger • Released trigger 1 Master reset Click on "Master Reset" to reset all settings to factory setting.

Error codes This page shows the error codes that are generated by the Control unit. See the table below for a description of the various codes and how to rectify them. Refer to support site for trouble shooting tree.

Test/Diagnostics In the diagnostics section, there are a number of tests that can be performed as part of a trouble shooting if the product is not starting or behaving strangely or as a measure when different error codes have been generated by the control unit. The following tests can be performed for chainsaw: • Control Unit Temperature Test • Handguard Test • Keypad Test • Trigger Test TIPS! Go to the Autotest section for detailed test instructions!

Scope of Autotest Select the scope of the test by checking the boxes Click ‘Start’ to begin the test

Trigger test Test instruction Trigger Test Begin the test by pressing the Trigger Test "Start" button and carefully following the instructions. Press and hold throttle trigger to set wide open throttle. Then click “Next". Release the throttle trigger to set throttle idle. Then click “Next". Check that the result was approved or failed

Handguard INACTIVE test
Test instruction Trigger Test Pull back hand guard to RESET position. Then click ‘Continue’

Handguard ACTIVE test Test instruction Trigger Test Pull handle forward to ACTIVE position. Then click ‘Continue’

Control unit temperature test
Test instruction Does the temperature below correspond to the ambient temperature +/- 5 Celcius / +/- 10 Fahrenheit

Keypad test Control unit temperature test Test instruction Press each button on the product keypad one by one to see that they work. Then click ‘Continue’ Test instruction Does the temperature below correspond to the ambient temperature +/- 5 Celcius / +/- 10 Fahrenheit

Keypda LEDs ON test Test instruction Are all LED’s on the product lit?

Keypda LEDs OFF test Test instruction Are all LED’s on the product switched off?

Test report Recommendation: We recommend you to use ‘Print with parameters’. Gives a full report. Good documentation for your customer. Tip 1: Your contact info is printed in document footer. Make sure you have updated info in ‘Settting’ Tip 2: Customer contact info is printed in top of document. Make sure you have updated customer info in the log book.

Firmware update Alt 1 - updating firmware in the Controller board When updating firmware to a newer version CST will suggest most parameters. Alt 2 - loading firmware to a Controller board which comes as a spare part When loading firmware to an spare part all fields will be empty. This is since the spare part Controller board comes as a ‘blank spare part’ You have to select the correct field corresponding to your machine. Tip: Refer to support site for information of update/load firmware Load firmware to a fully working Controller board This example show that the fields are empty when you load firmware to a blank spare part. Refer to Support site for instruction

Upload progress Note: The firmware load process can take 1-2 minutes. Give it time! Do not pull the cable. Should you get an error then restart the process.
