Dual Credit Reporting – Definitions
PASS/FAIL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE (E0949) Indicates the outcome for a course taken by a particular student. DUAL-CREDIT-INDICATOR-CODE (E1011) Indicates whether the student was eligible to receive both high school and college credit for a college course. COLLEGE-CREDIT-HOURS (E1081) Indicates the number of college hours a student earned for the completion of a dual credit course. COURSE-SEQUENCE-CODE (E0948) Identifies the unique part(s) of a course when a course is taught during a single grading period or semester or across multiple grading periods or semesters. The course sequence code identifies how the course was taught to the student during the school year, or in the summer.
5
Dual Credit Reporting - Guidelines
When a student completes a dual credit course and receives college credit hours, the course sequence code should be “0” to align with how college courses are generally taught (single semester basis). Reporting dual credit courses with any course sequence code other than “0” can result in overreporting of college credit hours.

OnRamps ONRAMPS–DUAL–ENROLLMENT–INDICATOR-CODE Definition: indicates that the student has successfully completed an OnRamps dual enrollment course. OnRamps is an innovative dual enrollment program coordinated by the University of Texas at Austin CourseTranscriptExtension Complex Type Element Number: E1597 Submission(s): 3 (Summer) 4 (Extended Year) List of Districts: The reason for this change is that the ASE Air Conditioning and ASE Heating are earned as one certification and not two different certifications.

OnRamps Special Scenario:
Question: If a student passes the OnRamps course for the college but doesn’t pass the course based on the high school guidelines should the high school give the high school credit to the student? How about vice-versa? If a student fails the OnRamps course for the college but does pass the course based on the high school guidelines should the high school give the high school credit to the student? I assume that the college will only use their grading criteria to pass or not correct? Answer: Because of the dual enrollment model, students participating in OnRamps enroll in two separate courses, high school and college. The grades and credit earned in one course are completely independent from grades and credit earned in the other course. It is possible and common for students to be assigned different grades, and to earn credit in one course and not the other. UT Austin grades all assessments that contribute to the college grade and credit award. EMILY WADE, Med | Associate Director, Enrollment and Operations The University of Texas at Austin The reason for this change is that the ASE Air Conditioning and ASE Heating are earned as one certification and not two different certifications.

OnRamps PEIMS Reporting as per TEA TIMS Ticket # CourseTranscriptExtension Complex Type should look like: Passes the High School Course but does not pass College Course: Pass/Fail - Credit Indicator Code = 01 would work because the student is receiving high school credit. C136 is about high school credit and not college credit. Dual-Credit-Indicator-Code = N If the student does not receive college credit hours, then it cannot be reported as a dual credit. Changing this to "no" would prevent from firing. College-Credit-Hours = 0 would be the answer since the student did not receive college credit hours. Course-Sequence-Code = 0 Onramps-Dual-Enrollment-Indicator Code = Y This can be kept as is but note that warning will fire. Doesn't pass the High School Course but passes College Course: Pass/Fail - Credit Indicator Code = Any of the values indicating that the "course was failed" would work. Dual-Credit-Indicator-Code = Y College-Credit-Hours = Any value greater than zero would work. Special warning would fire but it is a special warning. Onramps-Dual-Enrollment-Indicator Code = Y

Changes to Industry Certifications Reporting
Due to the importance of industry certification data in the accountability system, and to ensure that all schools are aware of the reporting opportunity on high school graduates regarding Post-Secondary Industry Certifications and Licensures, the Texas Education Agency has made the FIRST-POST- SECONDARY-INDUSTRY-CERTIFICATION- LICENSURE a mandatory field in the StudentGraduationProgramExtension complex type.
19
Business Validation Rule Change
Revised rule to apply to all graduates and not just Foundation High School Program (FHSP) graduates as follows: If LEAVER-REASON-CODE is "01", then there must be student graduation program data with a matching TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID. Business Rule Text was: If LEAVER-REASON-CODE is "01" and GRADUATION-TYPE-CODE is "34" or "54"-"57", then there must be student graduation program data with a matching TX-UNIQUE-STUDENT-ID. Business Meaning was: If a leaver has graduated under the Foundation High School Program (TX-GraduationTypeCode "34" or "54"-"57"), then student graduation program data must be reported for that student. Note: Graduates with TX-GraduationTypeCode "35" do not report FHSP Distinguished Level of Achievement or the FHSP Endorsement Indicators, so they do not report graduation program data.

110-ASE Air Conditioning has been deleted.
C214 INDUSTRY-CERTIFICATION-LICENSURE-CODE For the school year, the C214 – INDUSTRY-CERTIFICATION-LICENSURE-CODE table has been updated to consolidate ASE Heating and ASE Air Conditioning into one code as they are issued as one industry certification. 110-ASE Air Conditioning has been deleted. 180-ASE Heating has been deleted. 181-ASE Heating and Air Conditioning has been added. The reason for this change is that the ASE Air Conditioning and ASE Heating are earned as one certification and not two different certifications.
