1 PEIMS Summer Reports

2 TSDS PEIMS validate PEIMS data files against the Texas Education Data Standards or TEDS and produce reports showing errors and inconsistencies in PEIMS data submitted to the TEA. This system is designed for Texas school districts, charter schools and ESCs who are required to submit data according to the business rules established by the TEA. The reports below are some of those provided through these systems to districts, charters and ESCs to use to verify the data they are reporting. These are the reports that ESC 11 will be looking at. Please remember these are what ESC 11 looks at for reasonableness. Please create additional reports to verify your district’s data.

4 PDM3-116-001 – Organization Performance Ratings
This report provides district and charter evaluations of each campus’s performance ratings for specific community and student engagement programs and strategies, as well as an overall rating and indications of the campus’s statutory reporting and policy compliance. The district report shows a summary of the program results and ratings for all campuses on the first page and then a breakdown by campus on the following pages. We look to make sure there are ratings for all campuses and the district. PDM – Selected Community and Student Engagement (CASE) Indicators This report provides district and charter’s designation of their First, Second and Third CASE choice along with the URL address for the CASE Ratings Criteria. This report is available at both the district and campus level. Make sure that the district and each campus has reported their First, Second and Third CASE Choice along with the URL address for the CASE Ratings Criteria.

5 PDM3-116-003 – Campus Calendar Minutes Detail
This report shows the number of Operational Minutes, Waiver Minutes and Total Minutes for each day for each track along with the Total School Day Operational Minutes, Total School Day Waiver Minutes and the Grand Total Minutes for each track for each campus. PDM – Superintendent’s/Principal’s Report of Student Attendance This report summarizes student attendance for each six-week reporting period. Figures from this report are aggregates from the campus level to the LEA level. Some refined average daily attendance and special program full-time equivalents (FTEs) are accumulated from other reports. A page containing the sums and averages by grade for the year appears at the end of the report. Look for attendance data for grade levels that look unreasonable – i.e. there should not be any LEP in grade level EE and normally no CTE for grade levels below grade 9.

6 PDM3-130-005 – Comparison of Current & Prior Year Attendance
This report shows prior and current year attendance statistics for comparison. It calculates refined Average Daily Attendance (ADA), special program full-time equivalents (FTEs), unduplicated gifted and talented counts, and unduplicated limited English proficient (LEP) student counts. To match the processing performed at TEA, the report averages values across the entire school year, even when fewer than six six-week reporting periods of data are provided. Migrant and nonmigrant LEA values are determined differently: Nonmigrant LEAs average yearly values using all six-week reporting periods Migrant LEAs (with at least 5% migrant student populations) may average the best four six-weeks or six six-weeks depending upon the LEA’s unique circumstances. We look for any drastic changes in the ADA or FTEs.

7 PDM3-120-004 – Disaggregation of PEIMS Summer Attendance Data
This report provides student enrollment counts and percentages from the Summer submission. The information is based on Days Membership and organized into categories by grade, sex, ethnicity, and special populations. This report will show the number of students reviewed by IGC and the count of your homeless students with their coding. PDM – Students with Dual Credit Courses & College Credit Hours This report lists student who take dual-credit courses or earn college credit hours. The report is sorted by student name and class. This report shows the number of dual-credit hours awarded. Look for dual-credit hours being reported.

8 PDM3-120-009 – Student Foundation High School Program Roster by Grade.
This report lists students who are participating in or have completed a Foundation High School Program (FHSP), listing students with an FHSP- Participant-Code of 1 (pursuing) or 2 (completed). The report provides total counts as well as counts for each program indicator at the campus and district level. This report will show the student’s endorsements as well as the Distinguished Level Achievement Indicator code. PDM – Student Disciplinary Action Summary This report summarizes disciplinary actions by action reason code and then by action code. Students with multiple disciplinary actions are counted more than once. We look for major increases in the number of incidents reported and number of “severe” reason codes.

9 PDM3-133-001 – Number of Students Completing Courses by Pass/Fail Indicator
This report summarizes the count of students in all grades, 1st through 12th, completing courses by pass/fail credit indicator codes. The report is sorted sequentially by the SERVICE-ID. We look to see that all appropriate grade levels have something reported with reasonable numbers. PDM – Title 1 Part A Student Summary by Campus This report summarizes the count by campus of all students who received Title I Part A instructional and support services.

10 Special reports PDM3-231-001 Percent Change from the Previous Year:
Attendance Special Education Membership Career and Technical Education Membership Disciplinary Actions PDM – Percentage Change from the Previous Year This report identifies changes in the number of students for various subcategories of students from the previous year to the current year by campus. This report may be run for Attendance, Special Education Membership, Career and Technical Education Membership and Disciplinary Actions.

11 Uid discrepancies PDM Daily LEA Person Submission Totals(Student Discrepancies) PDM Daily LEA Person Submission Totals (Staff Discrepancies)

12 PDM3-600-001 – Daily LEA Person Submission Totals (Student Discrepancies)
This report summarizes all TSDS Unique-ID validation discrepancies for the student data submitted by the LEA. Discrepancies noted are the differences found between the student data submitted through the PEIMS Data Mart by the LEA and the data found in the TSDS UID System database. A preliminary report will be generated to identify demographic data discrepancies between the LEA’s PEIMS Summer data submitted through TSDS and the data found in the TSDS UID system database. A final report will be generated to identify demographic data discrepancies that remain unresolved once an ESC has accepted its PEIMS summer data.

13 PDM3-610-001 - Daily LEA Person Submission Totals (Staff Discrepancies)
This report summarizes all TSDS Unique-ID validation discrepancies for the staff data submitted by the LEA. Discrepancies noted are the differences found between the staff data submitted through the PEIMS data Mart by the LEA and the data found in the TSDS UID System database.
