2 Version 02 To incorporate the new items from Version 02 Library: Step 1. in System Parameters select Default CP ADL Library as ADLSTD02 Step 2. select problems you would like to add to your facility library Step 3. edit the problems to reflect facility policy and procedures

3 Step 1. ADL Data Systems, Inc.3 1. Go to Optimum Security 2. System Parameters 3. select level Facility 5.select Default CP ADL Library to ADLSTD02 4. select Facility from List

4 Step 2. ADL Data Systems, Inc.4 1. Go to Optimum EMR 2. Select Setup 3. Care Plan Setup – Problem Set Editor 4. Click on 02 button 5. Select up to 10 problems

5 MDS Rules ADL Data Systems, Inc.5 MDS fields now sort by name

6 EMR – Care Plan ADL Data Systems, Inc.6 Added ability to specify D/C time when a care plan item is discontinued. Note: D/C time will default to the time the item is discontinued.

7 Adding to Care Plan ADL Data Systems, Inc.7 Users can now add new problems to a care plan even if when all previously recorded problems are discontinued.

8 Additional security User ID now shows

9 Optimum EMR (MIDI FRAME) 1. Added a security check to determine if a user has access rights to run a specific application when application is launched and Login window is skipped. If a user attempts to access an application through the Launcher, an error message will appear.

14 Notes – Print options for DRAFTS Drafts can no longer be printed from the EMR tab. They are still visible to those users who have access. This is to prevent any Draft notes from being mixed with Active notes in the chart, for survey/legal/ or resident transfer purposes. Only Active prints:

15 Notes – Print options for DRAFTS Print option to Print highlighted Draft Note is grayed out on EMR – Notes History Screen. Click Active Note to highlight- print highlighted note option available: Click Draft Note to highlight- no print option:

16 Notes - Print options for DRAFTS From the Facility Tab – Progress Notes - Reports – Removed ALL option from status dropdown menu. Again, this reduces the possibility of accidentally mixing Drafts into the legal record.

17 Notes – Print options for DRAFTS From the Facility Tab – Progress Notes - Reports - A large DRAFT watermark prints on each page of draft notes.

18 Notes – Overview Screen Changes Overview screen / By Group: added notes count after group description Overview screen: added Expand/Collapse button

19 Notes – Overview Screen Changes Facility Tab – Overview - By Unit - added "Discharged" checkbox, unchecked by default to include Active only residents. Facility Tab - Overview - By Unit - only residents with notes are displayed (previously all residents were displayed).

20 Notes Overview – Discharges check box Discharged residents Account IDs display in RED TYPE.

21 Notes- 1 st Level of Order Entry There are two ways to access Notes application 1.Notes button at the bottom 2.Services > Programs > Notes

22 Notes- 1 st level of Order Entry Notes History screen no longer defaults to App: ORD and will display all progress notes for the resident

23 Notes- 1 st level of Order Entry Notes written from Notes button or Servcices will no longer receive the App: ORD tag.

24 Notes – Draft Notes in Order Entry Draft notes written in other applications can now be accessed, deleted, edited or activated from Order Entry

25 Notes – 3 rd Level of Order Entry Notes written inside an order are considered tied to that order and will no longer be saved as Drafts in Progress Notes. The Note will be saved in Progress Notes application when user clicks Confirm button in Order Entry.

26 Notes – 3 rd Level of Order Entry The progress note will be visible in the order label when you click on the next item SIGNATURE in the Order menu on the left.

27 Notes – 3 rd Level of Order Entry Note will be visible in Progress Notes as an Active Note on Confirm The note will have the App: ORD tag in Progress Notes.

28 Notes – 3 rd Level of Order Entry Notes application can be opened from within 3 rd level by clicking the Progress Note button Defaults to App: ORD notes in display. Please note that Inserting a new Note will not result in a tag of ORD.

29 Notes – Placing an Order on HOLD The Progress Note will Display in Progress Notes application when user clicks OK button.

30 Notes – Placing an Order on HOLD The note will be associated with the name of the MED in Progress Notes application. The note will have the App: ORD tag

31 Notes – 2 nd Level of Order Entry Active, D/C, and Hold orders with Notes can be viewed by clicking the Notes button Orders without notes will display the Notes button grayed out when highlighted.

32 Notes – 2 nd Level of Order Entry Draft/Draft recommended and Future orders can have Notes added to them (if there is not already a note) from the 2nd level of Order Entry

33 Notes – 2 nd Level of Order Entry Clicking on the Notes button will take the user to the 3 rd level where they can add a Note to the Order.
