The ACC is responsible for enforcing the AAC rules and regulations. The committee also has approval for all changes made to Homeowner’s property; such as colors of homes, fences, change of landscapes etc..

Current and Future financial requirements are funded by the HOA assessment
Summary of Operating Account and Reserve Account changes
Total Income YTD = $105, (7% above budget)
Total Expenses YTD = $74, (16% below budget)

7. Financial performance is better than planned!
Financial Report
Homeowner dues are $300 per year, with a 5% discount if paid by the end of January
~75% of homeowners take advantage of this discount
There are pressures on the Operating Account in the future
The new park area
Inflationary increases in the water bill, mowing and landscaping, etc.
It looks as if we have enough income to meet obligations for 2018
2017 Expenditures are below projections
Reserve Account is above projection: $111,360

10. 2017 Accomplishments
Transferred 100 St E(DIV5) to the City of Bonney Lake.
This lowered our taxes and maintenance costs.
Successful Annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Installed Black Bark at base of trees along Sky Island Drive.
Successful Transfer of Nature Park and trails to HOA.
Completed 30 Year Reserve Study Financial Plan as required by the State.

Installed crosswalk flags for safety

12. 2017 Accomplishments Inspected Big Toy, replaced two swing seats
Completed repair and staining of all HOA owned fences

Successful negotiation with NW Heritage for Nature Park
Worked with Developer to install Benches and Picnic tables in Nature Park

15. Maintenance Update Fence Staining completed for 2017.
Several homeowners took advantage of having our
contractor do their fences at $7.25/linear foot.
Will offer a similar program for homeowners that
need fence staining next year. We will contact those
that need staining or refreshing. Goal is to have all
fences needing stained completed by 1 July 2018.
Crosswalk flag experiment worked. City approved the expansion to the 3 remaining crosswalks on SI Drive. Completed October 2017
Entrance monument. Moving to more use of perennials will continue to have flowers and bulbs, spring/summer
Overgrown trails in the Nature park will be opened and expanded over the years.

17. The Sky Island Home Owners Association would like to express their heartfelt sadness for the passing of Peggy Sholseth.
Peggy was instrumental in getting the Park for our neighborhood.
She loved Sky Island and will be truly missed.
