2 What is a narrated PowerPoint?
A narrated PowerPoint is a series of PowerPoint slides that contain an audio narration The creator can record the audio ahead of time and have it play with each slide The slides can be forwarded automatically (on a timer), or with a mouse click Alternatively, you can also record audio as you give a presentation using PowerPoint.

Students can prepare at home, and practice speaking in a lower stakes setting You can add music, get creative You can prepare these for students and have them listen and read (either in class or at home) Disadvantages You need a copy of PowerPoint You need access to a microphone and speakers on your computer With a lot of audio the files become too big in size Possible technical difficulties

7 How to create a Narrated Powerpoint - details
On Windows 1. Go to the Slide Show Tab 2. Click on Record Narration 3. You can either embed the narration (have it be part of the PowerPoint), or link the narration (have the audio in a separate file) 4. In Slide Show view, speak into the microphone, and click the slide to advance. Do this for each separate slide. 5. Click exit at the end. The narration is saved.
