2 Name calling: associating a person with a negative idea or symbol

3 Bandwagon: This technique involves encouraging people to think or act in some way simply because other people are doing so.

4 Testimonial: An important person or famous figure endorses a product/candidate. 

5 Plain folks: A plain folks argument is one in which the speaker presents him or herself as an average Joe — a common person who can understand and empathize with a listener's concerns.

6 Transfer: Good feelings, looks, or ideas transferred to the person for whom the product is intended.

7 Fear: the use of a variety of communication techniques that create an emotional appeal. to accept a particular belief or opinion, to adopt a certain behavior or to perform a particular action.

8 Bad Logic: where basic facts don’t add up
Premise 1: Hillary Clinton supports gun-control legislation. Premise 2: All fascist regimes of the twentieth century have passed gun- control legislation. Conclusion: Hillary Clinton is a fascist.

9 Glittering Generalities: an emotionally appealing phrase that sounds good but does not have any reason behind it.
