They are the basis of the way we structure and manage the organisation - and the way that leadership works They are used to find, develop and reward the best talent - as part of our performance management processes They are used to ensure that we act with transparent integrity and consistency in every market They create a real sense of belonging and a justified sense of pride

Each depends on the others The five values we have chosen are not individually distinctive, but the resulting culture is It is the balance of freedom and governance which makes the ‘RB magic’ Our values are interwoven principles and commitments Each is vital. Behaviours we see in Responsibility: Responsibility means one thing above all It means doing the right thing, even when it’s hard It means always leading and acting with total integrity How do you know what is the right thing? By thinking putting our consumers and our people first Their safety. Their wellbeing. Their needs. Their dreams Everyone has responsibilities. Everyone must take responsibility. Especially when it is hard We are already a great company. We must be a good company We always do the right thing even when it is hard We always put the safety of our people and consumers first We lead and act with integrity

Ownership is central to what makes RB a unique business People at RB are given freedom to make a difference To take responsibility for delivering results That’s why we recruit people who have resilience and resourcefulness And who have attitude and spirit The appetite to treat the business as their own The confidence to take the initiative – not wait to be told or asked Ownership means driving the business forward and pushing for better Behaviours we see in Ownership: I treat the business like it’s my own I do not wait to be asked or told, I take the initiative I have the freedom to make a difference

Entrepreneurs are people with imagination, creativity and a passion to turn ideas into value That means being prepared to disrupt the status quo To ask ‘why?’ and ‘why not?’ It means having the courage to champion new ideas and the flexibility to find solutions To tackle big ideas with limited resources To get behind initiatives irrespective of who invented them, Whatever role people play at RB – in our laboratories, factories or warehouses, in marketing, risk or finance or HR – we can, should and must always be looking to do better by doing different At RB we respect and reward entrepreneurship in all its forms Behaviours we see in Entrepreneurship: Champion new ideas irrespective of where they come from Passionately turn creative ideas into effective business solutions Big ideas with less money

Behaviours we see in Outperformance: Achievement is multi-dimensional RB has commercial goals and bigger ambitions to improve the lives of our consumers and their communities Performance and purpose go hand in hand Realising that goal depends upon giving your best and pushing for better Better science, better products, better processes, better brands, better impacts, better business When you’ve reached one peak look for the next one – the higher one We must not only perform what is expected of us, we must be hungry to outperform We have a bias for acting at speed Not acting recklessly but acting decisively to shorten the time between decision and implementation, concept and execution Outperformance across the business is recognised and rewarded At RB who you know or who you please is irrelevant What matters is the lasting value you create and are recognised for When we climb a mountain we look for the next peak We reward outperformance, not who you know or please A bias for action at speed

Behaviours we see in Partnership: Partnership is both a philosophy and a pragmatic business practice No one has all the solutions: we must partner with others to find them But partnering at RB doesn’t just mean doing deals to create mutual value It is a special way of working with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders At RB partnering means being very honest, very open and very direct Saying what you mean and doing what you say Never being two-faced or shying away from expressing your true opinions We value constructive conflict It can lead to the best solutions Partnership is therefore a commitment to treat others as equals and as adults We say what we mean and do as we say in the room and outside it We value constructive conflict, it’s how we get the best solution No one has all the solutions so we partner with others to find them
