Tailor solutions to suit the learner: must be relevant, clear and as simple as possible Adapt solutions to suit the learning styles Ask learner to contribute to the solution Foster learner autonomy Use the many free tools available e.g. voice recorder, speech assistants, predictive text etc. Screening tools (e.g. Lads Plus disk) can highlight strengths as well as weakness

Screen Reader: on iPad Click General Accessibility Speech

6 Reading on the iPad Choose the Reading mode
Select text to read a section by highlighting the text and clicking speak To read the whole text, drag 2 fingers down from the top part of the iPad

7 Narrator Mode: PC and Laptops
Narrator Desktop Mode will read all text on the screen Click settings for more options

Settings Click Control Centre click the green + button Double tap home button to see the icon

Click screen recorder 3 seconds given to get ready! Click red bar at the top to stop the recording Video is saved in Photos Long press to activate audio You can edit in photos or in iMovie
