2 Move On When Ready is a 2 for 1

3 Provides an early start on their college courses.
Provides early college opportunities for students . Students have flexible scheduling opportunities because courses can be taken anytime.  Saves money because college tuition and expenses are fully or mostly paid.

4 Who is eligible? Be a high school student (mostly 11th and 12th)
Be enrolled in an eligible university or technical college Meet college’s admission requirements Qualifying GPA in core curriculum Qualifying entrance exam scores (SAT/ACT /ACCUPACER) Meet local system requirements. Be on track to graduate and maintain satisfactory academic progress towards meeting high school graduation requirements.

5 Application Process Submit in one envelope to Guidance office.
Request to send an Official Transcript Form . Completed MOWR Student Participation Agreement Form.

6 Application Process STEP 1: Take the SAT or the ACT or the ACCUPLACER
STEP 2: Set up a parent and student meeting with counselor to complete the MOWR Student Participation Agreement Form and to discuss scheduling specifics (March/April) STEP 3: Apply to the college (preferably by the end of March) Be sure to use the correct SSN and apply as a DUAL Enrollment /MOWR student

7 If accepted to MOWR program:
STEP 4: Set up meeting with College Admissions Advisor to discuss paperwork and register for class. If you have schedule questions, contact Guidance office . STEP 5: Complete the online MOWR Application to apply for the payment of the program Must be completed EVERY SEMESTER Located on GACollege411 – MOWR/Dual Enrollment. STEP 6: Give a copy of your college schedule to Guidance office. (ASAP – preferably before each semester begins) RESOURCES:

8 Grading Colleges use letter grades A= B= C= D=
If a course requires an EOC, the student is required to take the exam. The exam grade will be calculated as 20% of the grade as listed above. Weighted GPA +10 points is added to dual credit courses for calculating academic weighted percent and HOPE GPA

9 Privilege Period At BCHS, we believe that students earn privileges for achieving high standards. A privilege period is “a period of the school day” when a student is not assigned to a class (a free period/Study skills) A privilege period is not considered one of the required courses for students enrolled in the MOWR program b/c it is considered a “free” period.(Study skills) Privilege period(s) are awarded to students who meet the requirements set forth by the faculty/staff of BCHS.

AFTER ACCEPTED into the college MOWR program: Complete this form to have the state pay for the college tuition, etc. Must be completed each semester student participates in MOWR. MOWR online application This is NOT the application to Apply for MOWR with the college. This is the FINANCIAL AID Application for MOWR only.
