3. Pleasing God or Man Who are we seeking to please in life (Jn. 8:29)?
Not all preaching is pleasing to God (Gal. 1:6-10; 2 Cor. 11:4)

4. Preaching That Pleases God
Preachers who know their charge (2 Tim. 1:6; 4:1-2)
Preaching that is Bible-based (Acts 8:35)
Preaching that imparts truth, not impressive stories (1 Cor. 2:4; Cor. 4:5; 1 Thess. 2:1-8)

5. Preaching That Pleases God
Preaching that is balanced (Acts 20:27)
Preaching that is distinctive (Acts 17:5)

6. Why This Preaching? It saves the lost unreligious world (Mk. 16:15-16)
It saves the lost religious world (Jn. 17:20-21)
It saves the lost and the saved in the Lord’s church (Rom. 1:15)

7. Why This Preaching?
It fulfills what God wants: “preach unto it the preaching that I bid thee” (Jonah 3:2)
