The main theme of the short story “The Doll’s House” by Katherine Mansfield is class division and social injustice The interesting thing is that this theme is illustrated by both adults and children

7. Summary
In "The Doll's House," the three Burnell sisters receive a beautiful dollhouse. Their parents forbid them to show the dollhouse to the Kelvey sisters, because the Kelveys are poor. One day, however, Kezia Burnell grows bored at a party and decides to invite the Kelveys inside anyway.

Kezia invites the kelveys to see the doll house , while the girls were admiring it , Aunt eryl gets mad at kezia for inviting the kelveys to see the doll house , the kelvey’s sister run away

The falling action of the short story is very brief: the Kelvey sisters are ashamed and run away, while Kezia is scolded by her proud aunt

There is not much that needs to be clarified anymore , the other girls are not allowed to talk to Lil and Else and they have seen the house. . Despite all thet they still haven’t lost their hope because kezia showing kindness made them gain hope that things might still change and people might still be kind
