2 G – Geography Physical features of an area and how they relate to the world and how they impact human lives or living. Questions to Ask Yourself Where is the civilization or empire? What physical features are there? Did the environment help or hinder the humans?

3 R - Religion Worship or practices related to human beliefs in a divine being or organization. Questions to Ask Yourself What do people believe? How do beliefs affect life?

4 A - Accomplishments Change, growth or development in a society, involves new inventions, methods for production, and systematic ways of doing social functions. Questions to Ask Yourself What did they contribute to the world? What did they invent? What did they build? (architecture)

5 P – Politics Government and political affairs, that include levels of authority and rights or freedoms of citizens. Questions to Ask Yourself What type of government did they have? What was the government like? Who made decisions in the society? How were decisions made?

6 E – Economics Trade, industry, and any other creations of wealth for a society. Questions to Ask Yourself How did the society give out resources? How did they use money? How did they sell or trade? What resources did they have? What resources did they need?

7 S – Social Class Details on social structure. This includes social rank, human interactions, family, community, living, and communications. Questions to Ask Yourself Were people divided into groups? How? Why? Who was considered more important? What was the art, music, and recreation like?

8 Big Picture What is the main idea of the reading, passage, or content covered on this organizer?
Significance in History Why is this this overall topic important? What impact did it have on society or in time?
