Annals of Cartmel mentions the Bilton Park family returned to Birklandbarrow Hall after losing money in the South Sea Bubble scandal.
James Stockdale 1 of Cark was born in years before Bilton Park was sold.
Victoria County History Vol 8 entry for Over Kellet mentions Birklandbarrow but no Stockdale is mentioned as owners.
A James Stockdale (d 1640) and son John held land in Nether Kellet.
