2 How to Use this Tutorial
Welcome to the PowerChart Task Management Tutorial for Ambulatory Staff. This tutorial will give you general knowledge of how to use PowerChart to view patient information.

3 Navigation in this Tutorial
There are several ways to navigate through the content of this tutorial. A few methods include: Click your left mouse button or use the page down key on your keyboard to move forward in this slide presentation. Right-click on the current slide and choose ‘Reverse’ to go back to a previous slide in the presentation. 3 3

6 Strategies for Success
Remember, before you will be allowed to access eKiDs PowerChart, you must: Successfully pass the eKiDs Ambulatory PowerChart Basics proficiency test with 80% or higher. Complete all applicable PowerChart training as indicated by your manager or education coordinator. Sign the Information Services’ Systems Access and Confidentiality Acknowledgement.

7 Security and Password Considerations
The FIRST TIME you login, enter your username and password. You will then be prompted to change your password.  Never write your password down. Choose a password you can memorize. If you forget your password, call the IS help desk at to have your password reset. If you need assistance within the application call the IS support line at Login immediately after it has been reset and change your password. Never share your password with anyone!

8 Accessing PowerChart via Virtual Desktop
If you have access to Virtual Desktop, you will be able to login to PowerChart simply by clicking the PowerChart icon. The PowerChart login screen will appear, without the need to login to Citrix.

9 Accessing Citrix As necessary, you may also need to access PowerChart via Citrix. To access eKiDs PowerChart via Citrix, you must first log in to the Citrix Web Interface. You can access the Citrix Web Interface in two ways: On KDnet, under Popular Links, select Citrix Web Access. Type “ekids” into your web browser.

10 Accessing PowerChart After you have logged into Citrix, all applications for which you have access will display. Select PowerChart and log in using your username and password. doeja ************ 10

11 Securing Your Workstation
Anytime that you need to move away from your workstation, ensure that your workstation is secured using a method below. Suspend – Locks your PC until you re-enter your password. Exit – Allows you to completely exit the application. 11

12 Accessing PowerChart – Complications???
