4 Levels of Ecology Organismal

5 Levels of Ecology Populations

6 Levels of Ecology Communities

7 Levels of Ecology Ecosystems

8 Levels of Ecology Landscapes

9 Levels of Ecology Biosphere

17 As you go up in elevation,
As air moves over mountains, As you move toward the equator, As you go toward the poles,

18 As you go up in elevation,
temperature decreases. As air moves over mountains, precipitation leaves the air and causes desert in the shadow. As you move toward the equator, the amount of precipitation increases. As you go toward the poles, the amount of light intensity decreases.

32 Coastal & Ocean terms

33 Secchi disc created in 1865 by Angelo Secchi
circular disk 30 cm (12 in) in diameter used to measure water transparency in bodies of water. the disc is mounted on a pole or line, and lowered slowly down in the water. the depth at which the disk is no longer visible is taken as a measure of the transparency of the water. this measurement is known as the Secchi depth and is related to water turbidity.
