This person is selected by the Parliament.

Commander and chief of the army, Navy, and air force
Approves elections
Recommends someone to be the Governor General
The current Prime Minister is Malcolm Turnbull

5. The Parliament is broken in to two houses.
Senate and the House of Representatives
Australians who are over the age of 18 are required to vote for these people

6. Voting Australians 18 and over are required to vote. (Compulsory)
Australians vote for the Members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The Prime minister is then selected from the HOR and the S.
