September 2016 Trinity Sixth Form Centre Always have a briefing for PM/ Appraisal as is now, at this time of year – particularly important this year because of the new legislation. Appraisal done well is a key tool for improving schools, through working on the development and performance of each person within it. Ofsted look at how well we do this. Look at egs of review docs. This is a key tool in your responsibility to improve Q of T This is the time for those courageous conversations JJ talked about. Need to prepare well for these. However closely you work with your team, if a conversation needs to be had, have to have it, fairly. Lots to go through; stop me and ask if it’s unclear. Some you will have heard before, but important to have a reminder

13th July Personal Statement Complete June/July 2016 UCAS Application Open 12th September Trinity deadline for CUKAS applications (conservatoire). 12th September Trinity deadline for applications to Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine & Dentistry 1st October 2016 CUKAS deadline for applications (conservatoire). 15th October 2016 at 18:00 UCAS deadline for Oxford, Cambridge, Medicine, Veterinary and Dentistry applications as above 5th October Trinity deadline for all other applications to be with tutors 15th January :00 Final deadline for applications to be with UCAS and to be considered ‘on time’

Extended Project – no lessons this week Re-sit GCSE Eng & Maths – receive info on when lessons are in next few days. Fire Alarm – sounds different from lesson bells Sign Out Safeguarding Issues – see AWI or student manager Assembly every Tuesday 12.00pm

9 Year 13 Bells – may not hear it in Bistro – no excuse!
Tutor Time – you must attend and don’t be late! Lunch – 1.10pm Private Study periods – not ‘free time’ – “I’ve got no work to do” is unacceptable. Equipment – you will need black, blue, green & red pens plus pencils, rulers, calculators etc

10 Year 13 Buildings Bistro – use it or lose it!
Try your best in every lesson, every day Attendance – 17 absences = 1 grade lower Organise your time – plan ahead Punctuality – get here no later than 8.25am Dress Code – see requirements for success – if you don’t want it to change, stick to the guidance! Buildings Bistro – use it or lose it!
