Provide a forum for collaboration, engagement and sharing of resources for individuals and organizations concerned about cancer Ultimate Goal Reducing the burden of cancer in Vermont Action Network of community, clinical, and nonprofit partners working together prevent, detect, and treat cancer, as well as improve cancer survivor quality of life. 

5 Vermont Cancer Plan Guide for cancer control practices and engagement across the state Represents collective efforts of statewide stakeholders Goals: Reduce Cancer-Related Disparities Cancer Prevention Early Detection of Cancer Cancer Directed Therapy & Supportive Care Survivorship & End-of-Life Care The 2016 – 2020 Vermont Cancer Plan provides guidance, information, data, and links to partners and resources for all Vermonters. Vermont’s cancer community – including the Department of Health, the statewide cancer coalition, Vermonters Taking Action Against Cancer (VTAAC), hospitals, cancer survivors, non-profit organizations and other community organizations came together to create this document. Reduce cancer related disparities Prevent cancer from occurring or recurring Detect cancer at its earliest stages Treat cancer with appropriate, quality care Ensure the highest quality of life possible for cancer survivors

6 Take Action Addressing cancer requires extensive dedication and commitment by many Hundreds of people & organizations contribute to implement the Vermont Cancer Plan Everyone can play a role in the fight against cancer Making cancer preventable and treatable should be a responsibility and an obligation
