2 Who are we? The department consists of two people:

3 Goals Create and develop an environment of trust
Recruit and Retain the best possible employees Develop a respectful and positive climate Work as a team with the bargaining units and LMC’s Open lines of communication To improve how communication is handled Help develop a chain of communication Define the process Be open to creative solutions Administer HR policy and programs effectively and efficiently, while maintaining internal customer satisfaction and meeting budget constraints. 4 Our Expectations Human Resources are our main commodity in a school system Kids, Staff, and Parents—without them we don’t have a system Community—they support all of our activities, they get most of their knowledge about schools from the employees. We will follow up Our processes will be fair and equitable Decisions are made based on information and data We treat people with respect Randy L. Hill 11/13/2018

5 What do we do? Our first priority is to assist employees:
Posting of positions for Administration and Program Directors Review of job descriptions Ensure that postings are accurate Detailing the hiring process to ensure that it is fair and equitable Ensure that we are advertising to get the best candidates Review of applications Interview and communicate Randy L. 6 What do we do? Upon employment, ensuring that all staff have the necessary paperwork completed to get paid You must have all your paperwork complete prior to working in our system Setup of recruitment, training and benefit activities Advertise positions, discuss benefits, invite you to be a part of those activities Help navigate processes regarding employee accidents Contact with WSRMP and other agencies Work to develop positive labor/management relationships Randy L. 7 How can we best serve you?
We work to help managers resolve personnel situations We prepare, assist and communicate in the collective bargaining process In the event someone is injured, we work with L&I and our Risk Mgt. company All personnel files are maintained in our office, our employees file is available if hey/she wishes to review it If we don’t have an answer to your question, we will work to find out what we can Developing a network of contacts WASPA membership Randy L.
