Most nouns simply add --s Paper = papers Student = students

3 Plural Noun Forms Rule #2
Nouns ending in s, x, z, ch, or, sh, add --es Church = churches Hoax = hoaxes

4 Plural Noun Forms Rule #3
Nouns ending in y, drop and add –ies Proper nouns ending in y, simply add -s Pony = ponies Fly = flies Dewey = Deweys

Nouns ending in f or fe can do one of two things: Simply add –s Safe = safes Café = cafes Change the f to v and add –s or -es Leaf= leaves Life= lives
