1 Introducing the new generation MASTERColour CDM Elite lamps
Save energy and improve quality of light! Introducing the new generation MASTERColour CDM Elite lamps MASTERColour CDM-T / TC Elite 50W/930 Preliminary technical datasheet

2 CDM-T /TC Elite 50W/930 – preliminary technical data
Features excellent quality of light lowest total cost of ownership can replace standard 70W ceramic metal halide lamps and: reduce energy consumption while improving lumen level improve CRI from 80 to 90 increase life from to hrs 50W system fits in existing 70W luminaires (a 50W lamp needs 50W gear) Benefits Replace standard 70W ceramic metal halide lamps and save 25W (=30%!) energy on system level, while improving quality of light and increasing lifetime. longer life combined with high lumen maintenance make this system unbeatable in total cost of ownership existing luminaires can be used for quick design-in and installation. 3 CDM-T /TC Elite 50W/930 – preliminary technical data
Frequently asked questions What is new or different in this new generation of Elite lamps? This 50W lamp is part of the new generation CDM Elite lamps and is based on breakthroughs in burner design, metal halide composition and burner processing. Burner shape is the only visible change compared to the existing Elite lamps, but the largest part of the breakthroughs happens inside the burner. When will the new lamps be available? The new 50W lamps and gears will be available from December 20, 2010 onwards. When will samples be available? Samples are available since 1st half of July 2010. Can this new Elite 50W lamp also run on Electromagnetic (EM) gear? At this moment we are testing this combination , but we do not yet have sufficient data to prove this. We will communicate updates once available. What is the benefit of relamping standard CDM 70W with the new Elite 50W? During the first 2.000hrs of life, the standard CDM lamp looses about 15% of its initial lightoutput. The excellent lumen maintenance of the new Elite 50W brings the lumen output of the new lamp within 2.000hrs very close (within 5%) to the lumen output of a standard CDM 70W. Later during life the Elite 50W provides even more lumen output than a CDM 70W! The energy consumption is however 30% less! On top of that, the Elite 50W has CRI 90 and 25% longer life. See next page for details. Will an Elite version 50W/942 also become available? We are committed to building further on the CDM Elite portfolio. We expect to announce further range extentions in 2011. 4 CDM-T /TC Elite 50W/930 – preliminary logistic data
Comparison standard CDM 70W/830 with CDM Elite 50W/930: Within 2000hrs, the Elite 50W provides 95% of the lumen of a CDM 70W. Elite 50W provides more light after hrs than a CDM 70W on EM gear. Elite 50W provides more light after hrs than a CDM 70W on EL gear. Elite 50W lives 3.000hrs longer Elite 50W = more light + higher CRI + longer life + less energy!
