2. Blood You will probably have about 4 litres of blood in your body.
It flows around your body all the time.

Plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets.
Red blood cells – contain haemoglobin and carry oxygen around our body as well as nutrients.
White blood cells – protect your body from germs. They can fight off infections.
Platelets – help blood to clot at wounds.
