6th year of RtII – 3 days of reading and 2 of math Groups based on data – Imagine Math, DIBELS,PSSA scores, curriculum based assessments Word Work Understanding of how words are built, active learners, manipulate words POSITIVE results in vocabulary and spelling scores Less paper copies – look on calendar and Eisenhower website New Parent Portal Requests Parental portal guide – accounts will need verified - approx. 24 hours You will need your child’s student ID - you can pick this up during normal school hours (no phone calls or cannot be ed, etc.) Run Club – share details

4 ARRIVAL PROCEDURES Arrival – No coverage until 8:00 a.m.
When dropping off, you must turn right If children walk to school, they gather and line up on the back playground. If they are brought to school in cars, they line up in front of the school at the main entrance. The same is true for pick-up. When dropping your child off, if the adults are no longer out front, your child is tardy After 8:10 a.m. students need to enter through the front door – where the flagpole is located

5 DISMISSAL PROCEDURES Dismissal
2:45 Students Walking & 2:50 Students being Picked Up If being picked up, please encourage your child to be paying attention and looking for your car Safety Patrols & Staff Members LENOX Street – please note that this street is still open to residents and safety rules still apply. Walking School Bus Leave from out front at end of day National Walk/Bike to School Day October 4, 2017 Last minute plans for students Please make sure your child knows their pick-up plan Try to avoid calling into the school or ing your child’s teacher

6 ATTENDANCE Please remember:
All excuses for being late are marked as a “tardy” unless you had a Doctors appointment Please get Doctor’s excuses When your child is sick, please call in to the office and report them as being sick – we still need a written excuse when the student returns Excuses MUST be turned into the main office within three days of the absence. On the fourth day, it is marked as unexcused Once marked as unexcused you will receive a notification letter in the mail Once marked unexcused, we cannot go back into the system and change that code Trip requests – will only be approved if they are turned into the main office within the one week requirement listed directly on the form Trips will not be approved during the PSSA testing windows.

7 ATTENDANCE Cont. Please refer to the new Attendance Policy (Act 138 of 2016) on the Camp Hill School District website. The law creates new procedural requirements Districts must follow when a student is truant and/or habitually truant School Attendance Improvement Plans when a student reaches 3 unexcused days

Riding bikes in the parking lot near the playground Lincoln and 24th Street – alley Double doors at the front entrance Everyone needs to sign-in at the office Eisenhower Elementary stickers must be worn while in the building Emergency Drills- Fire Severe Weather Reverse Evacuation Intruder/Lockdown

10 PTO/PARENT VOLUNTEERS
PTO Representatives Clearances are required for all volunteers: Act 151 (PA Child Abuse Clearance) and Act 34 (PA State Police Clearance and Act 114- FBI. CHSD Website and go to the left under “Volunteers” Volunteering is not permitted until all clearances are on file with the district.

12 TONIGHT’S AGENDA 7:25-7:45 p.m. - Session #1 - Classroom visitations/presentations by classroom teachers. 7:50-8:10 p.m. - Session #2 – Classroom visitations/presentations by classroom teachers. Please include visits to special education teachers, support teachers and special area subject teachers, as well as the Camp Hill PTO membership table during one of the two sessions above.
