Populated by the Sammammish Tribe until 1870’s
1870 Colombus Greeleaf and George Wilson built homes, followed by 8 families in next 6 years
1876 George Brackett (Canadian) built logging camp
Now Brackett’s Landing
1885 Sold 80 acres to David Bothell (Pennsylvanian)
First postmaster (Gerhard Erickson) bought property in and named town

An original cabin that was used in Bothell when it was an old logging town

1917 Lake Washington Lowered, boat traffic ended, logging stopped
Brick road built to Seattle and Bothell became farming town
