The competition for excellence in life starts NOW!

6 5. Be Nice To Others When you are nice to others, it gets noticed for all the right reasons!

7 6. Don’t “Go” It Alone. When you don’t interact, it makes it difficult to reach out to you. Reach out if you need help.

8 7. Take care of your mind and body
Eat a healthy breakfast AND lunch! Takis and Faygo are NOT a healthy lunch! Get enough sleep. Middle schoolers need an average of nine hours a night. Talk to people when you are stressed, depressed, or blessed. Exercise. Do something active. Playing video games for hours is NOT exercise.

9 8. Don’t Be a Bully You should always be a good friend… to yourself and others. Forgive when offended, and learn how to say “I’m sorry”.

10 9.Don’t get into fights All fights will do is just get you in more trouble! Don’t start rumors Don’t say things you wouldn’t want said about you Talk to others the way you want to be talked to Treat others the way you would want to be treated Don’t try to change people Don’t make fun of people for being different from you TRULY TOUGH PEOPLE WILL KEEP THEIR MOUTH SHUT AND THEIR MINDS OPEN!

11 10. Try and get to know your teachers
Knowing your teachers will help you with your school year… they can show you the paths to success.

12 11. Be on time You don’t want to miss a thing!

13 12. FOLLOW TEACHERS’ RULES
Make sure you listen to rules so you can stay out of trouble.

14 13. NO electronics at school
Don’t bring your electronics to school. TRUST US – YOUR CELL PHONE IS NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR CLASS TIME. It will be confiscated (taken up)!

15 14. Follow class rules Follow all class rules and PARTICIPATE.

16 15. Be respectful Show others respect even when they don’t to you.

17 16. Encourage Others Encourage someone else; they will help you back.

18 17. Pay Attention And LISTEN!
Always pay attention, or you will be in BIIIG trouble.

19 18. RESPECT THE TEACHERS Like the wise teacher once said “Remember…the teachers are here to EDUCATE you, not BABYSIT you! You represent your family when you are at school, so represent yourself and them in a way that would make everyone PROUD!”

20 19. If you don’t like someone, then just stay away from them
19.If you don’t like someone, then just stay away from them Don’t instigate. When you’re around the people that you dislike, keep “clam” and walk away.

21 20.Find your favorite teacher and subject
When you do, that subject will be fun, and the teacher will help YOU.

22 21.Be Prepared Pen + Paper + Presence = Purpose
When prepared for anything, you can achieve anything in life! Lack of preparation on your part does not equal an emergency on someone else’s part!

23 22.DON’T ACT LIKE AN ADULT When you talk back to the teacher like you are an adult, think again: you don’t get paid for the job.

24 23.Dont act like a toddler, either.
The teachers don’t have time for your nonsense. Your parents don’t have time to leave work to deal with you not doing what you’re supposed to. YOU don’t have time to waste.

25 24. Have Manners MIND YOUR MANNERS! Don’t be rude! Don’t demand.
Don’t pout. Don’t interrupt. Don’t shout. Don’t whine.

26 But Most of ALL… Leave the past behind. You’re a Cougar, now. Part of our family. For life. Forever. Welcome to the hunt! Welcome to Cordova Middle School!

27 Hope This Helps! Seventh Grade Class, Class of 2018! “Good Luck!”
