Explain ways in which health and social care workers support the independence and wellbeing of older people.
The aim of this task is to demonstrate strategies which are used by health and social care workers in order to support people in the older stages of life, remain independent and holistically healthy.

7. Part 1 – P3
You will need to define and explain the 9 aspects identified in the previous slide providing example in the context of health and social care and changes or diseases which affect people later in life.

Principles of care are aspects of care which need to be taken into account when promoting independence and well being are as follow:
Diversity,
Respect,
Dignity,
Confidentiality,
Anti-discriminatory practice.

9. Part 2 – P3
You will to make clear links to the concepts identified in the previous slide when identifying and explaining strategies.
So how do the strategies essentially promote the principles of care listed in the previous – you will need one for each strategies and they must be used at least once each.

You will now need to identify the relevant services which can be used in conjunction with the strategies you have identified from the following list:
