4. Tissue Examples Epithelial Tissue – skin
Connective Tissue – surrounds, supports, and connects organs, muscles, and joints.
Muscle Tissue – able to contract and lengthen for movement.
Nervous Tissue – part of a neuron, to sense and transmit signals.

5. Organ
A group of tissues joined in structure to serve a common function.

6. Organ Systems Groups of organs that perform related functions.
Some organs can be part of more than one system.
Ex. lungs
