Does you like to “reach out and touch someone” by phone. You can thank Alexander Graham Bell! Bell was born in scotland on March When he was a boy, he designs a machine that cleaned wheat. Later when he was a teacher of the def, Bell developed the idea of “electronic speech.” He sent his first message to his assistant, Mr. Watson, who was in the next room always an inventor, Bells house even had simple air conditioning!

3. Romeo and Juliet: Act 1 Character Journals
Choose your character (Romeo, Juliet, Benvolio, Mercutio, Friar Laurence, or the Nurse)
Write a journal entry pretending to be that character.
Summarize the major events of Act 2 through that character’s perspective. (10 points)
Include one example of figurative language (underlined) (3 points)
Include one vocabulary word (underlined) (3 points)
Must be 16 sentences/2 paragraphs long (16 points)
Worth: 32 Points

4. Act 2 Quiz!
Remember, this is a quiz. Absolutely no talking, looking at other people’s quizzes, looking at your phone, ect. If you do, you will get one warning. Anything after that and you will receive a zero for your quiz 
Once you finish, raise your hand and I will take your quiz from you. After you finish your quiz, there is still no talking – you should work on your Act 1 Character Journal.
