3 Peer Edit Step #2 (3-4 mins) Check format does it have…
Heading (your name, teacher name, class and period, and date. Double Spaced) Header (Last name and pg #) Title MLA – double space with no extra space between paragraphs

5 Peer Edit Step #3 (5-7 mins) Read Introduction Underline Theme
Is it interesting? Does it have a hook or attention getter? Is it understandable? Does it need work? Is there a thesis? Does it thoroughly introduce the topic? YOU MUST MAKE COMMENTS !

6 Peer Edit Step #4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (5-10 mins each) all body paragraphs
Read Paragraphs thoroughly Does it make sense? Make comments Do you understand what the writer is trying to say? Are there at least 7 sentences? Are the paragraphs organized so thoughts can move freely? Or does it sound all over the place? Does the writing follow a logical sequence of events? Do their memories tie back to the thesis or theme of the paper? Is the paragraph thoroughly developed? Meaning, is there evidence of that generation present in the paragraph?

7 Peer Edit Step #9 (5-7 mins.) Conclusion
Does the author restate the theme or thesis? Is there a full circle ending? Did the author use transitions to change from memory to memory? Is the paper long enough to show full explanation of each experience/generation? Did the author seem interested in the topic they were writing about?

8 Peer Edit Last but not least…. GRAMMAR CHECK…..
Circle the words ‘that’ ‘get/got’ contractions, and any slang or text language. Are the verbs in past tense? Look for fragmented or run on sentences. If you see an obviously misspelled word circle it.
