Levelling Work Teachers working in pairs to ensure the levels are accurate in reading, writing and numeracy. Pupil Progress Meeting with every class teacher. Drop ins and lesson observations to identify the challenge within lessons.

5 Improve the quality of teaching to good or better through:
Levelling Work Impact Levels are accurate for identifying progress with our data collection. Differentiation is in the planning. Work scrutiny is showing that lessons are pitched differently for particular groups of pupils. Ongoing CPD for staff

8 Improve the quality of teaching to good or better through:
Marking Impact All staff are clear about expectations All books are showing a significant improvement (85% + of books have all the criteria) Pupils are clear about the expectations of presentation, self-assessing and responding to questions. This is being monitored through: Weekly drop ins Individualised next steps identified for every class. Lesson observations Subject leader monitoring Management team monitoring.

9 Improve the quality of teaching to good or better through:
Questions in books Pupils from Yr 2 onwards have questions in their books on a regular basis ( not every lesson). Purpose of the questions are to deepen and broaden your child’s understanding. Expectation is for your child to answer these questions. Monitoring the same way as the previous slide.

10 Improve the quality of Leadership and Management through:
Literacy and Numeracy Subject leaders checking the pupils’ progress Active involvement in completing Pupil Progress Meetings Challenge class teachers through questioning within the meeting. Review and support any barriers to the learning with groups of pupils. Creating a report for the Education Committee so the staff are being held to account by Governors.

The effectiveness of the Subject Leaders to improve the standards of learning have now increased as they are able to act upon areas discussed in the meetings.

Governor Monitoring in school has increased further. Meetings with HMI Professional Development including monitoring and evaluating courses Governor Monitoring document
