1. Facilities Services
The Facilities Department is responsible for the overall management & maintenance of the buildings & grounds at the University of Hartford. Their offices are located in the Operations Building at the northeast corner of campus. (Parking Lot E).

2. Work Orders
To request a facilities service online, go to the following website to generate a work order request:
Please be as detailed as possible when entering the location and description of the issue so the Facilities Department can best assist you
Make sure to enter a valid address so you can receive an automated copy of your submission.
Please forward a copy of your work order to Student Centers Administration, if your work order involves Gengras Student Union, Konover Campus Center and / or the University Commons
No work order altering the building’s infrastructure or equipment should be performed without the expressed written consent of the Director of Student Centers
Work orders submitted on behalf of a special event will be charged back to the sponsoring organization

4. Facilities Staffing
Trades (Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Etc.) (M – F; 8 am – 4:30 pm):
$24.50/hour straight time
$36.75/hour time and a half (Weekends)
Custodial (M – F; 7 am – 3:30 pm):
$26.25/rate per custodial/per hour
$.27/ per expected person material rate (toilet paper, soap, paper towels)
Grounds (M – F; 7 am – 3:30 pm):
$16.50/hour straight time;
$24.75/hour time and a half (Weekends)
Dedicated staff factors include:
Amount of special event attendees
Activities involved (ex. food, dancing, illness)
Area / space to cover (ex. seated, open spaces, etc.)
