Part A – Pictoword – ON FRONT
Pick 1 tribe (Jumano, Caddo, Comanche, Karankawa)
Use each letter of the word to draw a picture of the characteristics of the culture of the tribe
Geography
Food (animals, crops)
Homes
Clothing
Technology (tools/weapons)
Economy (jobs)
Religion (beliefs)
Social Structures (men/women/fun/sports/fun facts, etc.)
Change the letters of the word to create pictures to represent that culture
Part B – Description – ON BACK
On the back of your page at the top: write the letters of the word down the page and list the characteristics that you drew in Part A for each letter.
Write a complete sentence about what you drew as your picture. THIS IS NOT AN ACROSTIC – IT IS A DESCRIPTION.
Example:
A – Apaches lived in Teepees

Part C – Comparing Cultures – ESSAY
Write a 4 – 5 sentence paragraph answering the following question:
 Describe 2 to 3 ways that geography affected the development of culture using the American Indians tribes as examples.
