Hunters Lived here thousands of years ago. Moved from place to place following their herds. When herds died out some learned to farm the land.

Plains Indians Comanche, lived on this land. Hunters who followed their bison herds. Carried their homes made of poles and animal skins with them. They were also traders Exchanged horses and goods made from bison for food, tools and other supplies.

Mountain and Basins Jumano were mainly farmers Lived in permanent homes made from brick and mud Did not follow animal herds Artists

Coastal Plains Region Caddo – were mostly farmers. Karankawa, were hunters and gatherers Most of their diet was seafood
