What is Collaborate? A new online community exclusively for NCMA members A tool to help you seek out advice and guidance from your peers in contract management An open forum for members to easily share knowledge and experiences A tool to be used for networking and professional advancement A workspace for private workgroups and committees (setup by HQ)

Getting Started Log in – access through or directly, collaborate.ncmahq.org Accept the terms and conditions View and build your profile – import from your LinkedIn profile, or build from scratch including whatever you feel comfortable sharing Don’t forget to add a picture! Start collaborating!

Quick Tips Once you are logged in, access your profile by clicking on the arrow next to your photo (or placeholder), top right corner of the screen. If you have any messages in your inbox, there will be an alert just below the profile and communities buttons. Clicking on the pencil by Contact Details will take you back to your main NCMA profile to make edits. PLEASE NOTE: your mailing address is not visible to all members. You will see it here when you are viewing your own profile.

Quick Tips From your profile page, access important settings under the “My Account” tab. Review the Privacy Settings, Preferences, Community Notifications, and Discussion Signature sooner than later! This is the best way to ensure you have the best experience possible with Collaborate.

Quick Tips There are a lot of options for your privacy settings. Adjust your privacy settings to whatever makes you most comfortable. PLEASE NOTE: We don’t recommend super-high privacy settings. This tool works best when you start making personal connections. Remember, the only people with access to this community are also NCMA members.

Quick Tips Community Notifications is where you can edit your preferences regarding how often you receive s from each community you belong to. Consolidated weekly s are also available.

COMMUNITIES Everyone is part of the “Open Forum” by default. Other communities are created by HQ – some are available to join, some are assigned based on certain criteria. For example: anyone can join the Job & Career Discussion or Proposal Managers communities if that is something that interests you. The Virtual Chapter community is only available to members who are currently affiliated with the Virtual Chapter.

CHAPTER LEADERS COMMUNITY
Current chapter officers are automatically added into the Chapter Leaders community which is a private space for officers to share resources, advice, and ideas!
