18 TRAVEL POLICY & STAY TO PLAY
RAGE VBC TRAVEL POLICY Some travel involves only local travel to and from local practices and events while other travel involves overnight stays. Local Travel: It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure the person transporting the minor player maintains the proper safety and legal requirements, including but not limited to: a valid driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, a vehicle in safe working order, and compliance with applicable state laws. The employees and coaches of RAGE VBC or one of its teams, who are also not acting as a parent, should not drive alone with an unrelated minor. Team Travel Regardless of gender: A coach shall not share a hotel room or other sleeping arrangements with a minor player (unless the coach is the parent or relative of the player). At no time should a coach be present in a room with minor players, regardless of gender, unless a parent is present. Individual meetings between a coach and a player may not occur in hotel sleeping rooms and must be held in public settings or with additional adults present, with at least one of those adults being the same gender as the player. No coach or chaperone shall at any time be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while performing their coaching and/or chaperoning duties. I/we will abide by the “Stay to Play” tournament requirements, on tournaments involving “Stay to Play”, as directed by Rage Volleyball. Parent commits to reserve at least one room at each “Stay to Play” tournament that their player plays at.

19 GRIEVANCE POLICY RAGE Volleyball takes pride in maintaining open lines of communication between our board, players, coaches and parents. The grievance policy was established to provide a means of resolving any issues and/or concerns that parents and/or guardians may have involving the RAGE coaching staff, board or any other club rules and/or regulations. The goal is to ensure that all members receive equal attention to matters that are of concern and will strive to make certain that each situation reaches a mutual understanding and resolution. RAGE Volleyball supports this process and it is required that any and all issues with players, coaches, board members and other parents are handled through your player’s respective coach first and not the board or other coaches directly. Anyone who directs a complaint to a board member will be turned over to their respective team coach and this policy will be referenced. Please know that all concerns, complaints and issues will be handled with the utmost discretion. RAGE PARENT GRIEVANCE POLICY AND PROCEDURE STEP 1: Please contact your player’s respective coach via (preferred) or by phone after the 24 hours waiting period. Please include all details pertinent to the situation or incident. STEP 2: The coach will review the documentation or and will contact the individual for further follow up. Every attempt will be made to resolve the issue and/or concern with the player’s respective coach. STEP 3: If the parent/guardian could not reach a resolution with their respective coach the next step in the process is to bring the matter before Craig Handy a Board member of RAGE Volleyball. If necessary Craig can bring in a non-biased third party to help with the grievance process. STEP 4: If Craig cannot come to a resolution or agreement with the parent/guardian or the players respective coach, then the matter will go before the entire Rage board. Once a matter is presented to the entire Rage board the board’s resolution and decision will be final. PLEASE NOTE: As Stated in your Parent Contract RAGE VBC's focus is to provide specific technical training to all players. Each player is guaranteed practice and training time. Playing in matches and tournaments is not guaranteed. Play time is determined by the coach and may depend on the position of each player, skill level, and commitment at practices, behavior and attitude. Any verbal promises of playtime are void and not upheld as a grievance.
