15 Lincoln Wins the Election
After Lincoln won the election many Southerners believed that their way of life was in danger. By the end of January 1861 six states had seceded from the United States. They decided to leave and become their own country. They didn’t think their new government would support their interests so they resisted the outcome. AND LEFT!

17 Are We Still Divided?

18 Questions? By looking at the maps, is there still division in our country and politics? In the 1860’s the South seceded from the United States. Today there are people that disagree with the current government, but those states didn’t secede. What are people doing instead of seceding to show their division or disagreement?
