1 What kind of school do we want?
Our Core Values Respect Empathy Aspiration Confidence Honesty Achievement

2 When I am learning in class:
I sit on the carpet or at my table. I always follow instructions. I sit still and quietly. I make sure my hands are empty and my feet are still. I always look at the person who is speaking and give them my full attention and best manners. By doing this, I am showing them respect. I ignore distractions and listen quietly. I do not call out or speak over people. I do not get out of my seat without permission. I put my hand up if I need something and wait for my teacher’s response. During partner talk, I look at my partner and we take turns to speak and listen to each other. We keep our conversation on task. When my teacher asks for silence, I am quick to respond. I stop what I am doing and quickly get myself ready to listen. When I am asked to move from one area of the classroom to another, I do this quietly, silently and sensibly. I do not waste learning time. I am always kind and considerate to others in my class. I will always try to be helpful and to participate. I always try to make my class team stronger and work hard towards making our class outstanding. I will use ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. I will show courtesy to others.

3 When I go to assembly and move around the school:
I walk with my class silently and sensibly. I do not run. I stand up straight without leaning on walls or displays. I show courtesy to others. I let them pass. I hold doors open for them. I show I am thinking about their needs. I make sure that I enter and leave assembly in complete silence. During assembly, I sit on my bottom with my legs crossed. I face the front and give the adult my full attention. I keep my feet still and my hands to myself. I do not distract or bother anyone around me. I do not talk unless I am asked a question by an adult. If asked to move by an adult, I follow the instruction quickly and politely. I work hard to ensure that my class looks like the best class at all times.

4 When I am in the playground:
I treat others with courtesy and respect at all times. I use ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. I never insult others or use rude language. I do not tease others. I am particularly polite in the dinner hall. I say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ to the cooks. I sit and eat nicely. I do not shout. I scrape my plate into the bin carefully. If I disagree with someone I talk to them about it. I do not shout at them. I follow adults’ instructions quickly, without any fuss. If someone wants to play my game, I will try to include them. I never spoil other people’s games. I keep my play gentle. I do not play roughly and I do not play fight. I never use violence. This includes pushing. I follow the rules on all the equipment in the playground. I treat play equipment well. I look after it and use it the right way. I always ask permission to go inside the building. I freeze at the first bell and stop using all equipment. At the second bell I walk to my line. I line up properly. I do not get a drink once the bell has gone.
